Product Description
The RF2603 is a upconverter/pre-driver designed for PCS systems. The device features single-ended IF and LO inputs and single-ended RF output for ease of interface. The RF2603 is manufactured on an advanced Gallium Arsenide Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) process and is packaged in a TSSOP-16 package.

Pin 1 Function VCC Description
Supply Voltage pin. External bypassing is required. The trace length between the pin and bypass capacitors should be minimized. The ground side of the bypass capacitor should be connected immediately to ground plane. Not connected. Not connected. Ground connection. For best performance, keep traces physically short and connect immediately to ground plane. LO input pin. This pin is internally DC-biased and should be DC-blocked if connected to a device with a DC level present. The input impedance is 50. Ground connection. For best performance, keep traces physically short and connect immediately to ground plane. RF output pin. This pin is internally DC-biased and should be DC-blocked if connected to a device with a DC level present. This pin must be externally matched for 50 output impedance. Supply Voltage pin. External bypassing is required. Either a length of transmission line or external inductor is needed between this pin and the bypass capacitor for tuning the output to 50. Not connected. Not connected. Ground connection. For best performance, keep traces physically short and connect immediately to ground plane. Supply Voltage pin. External bypassing is required.
